The main CMS functions at a glance.
In many places throughout the CMS, you will find the same types of elements, such as buttons, input fields, and other interactive components. These work almost everywhere in the same way. In this overview, you can read more about the functions you will encounter most often.
The orange “Add” button is almost always located on the right-hand side of the screen. You will mainly see this button on overview pages. With this button, you can add new channels and structures (such as pages, articles, or questions).
On an overview page, you can select an item using the checkbox on the left. You will then see the window as shown in the example next to it.
Using the button with the trash can icon, you can delete the selected item. The item will then be moved to the trash.
If you have deleted items from an overview, you can find them again in the trash. From the trash, you can restore items or permanently delete them.
This is a useful function for quickly restoring content that was deleted by accident to its original location.
Use the “Save” button to keep your changes. Do not forget this, otherwise your changes will be lost. By saving regularly, you ensure that all your changes are preserved.
Using the “Revisions” menu at the top right of the page, you can view and, if needed, restore earlier versions of your channels and structures.
Each time you save a change, the CMS automatically creates a new revision. This means you can always return to an older version if something went wrong or if you want to restore previous content. You will find this functionality on most detail pages within the CMS.
This feature is especially useful if you accidentally deleted or changed something, want to compare how a page looked before, or want to reuse an older version.
If your website is multilingual, you can switch between the different language versions using the menu with the globe icon. For each language, you create separate channels and structures.
You can add a new language version via Settings.
